Our Chiropractor

Dr. James Anderson was born and raised in Barrie, Ontario. He went to Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas to compete on the varsity baseball team while receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then continued his education at New York Chiropractic College (NYCC), where he graduated with honours. While at NYCC, he received an Advanced Certificate in Sport Science and Human Performance as well as the Frank P. DeGiacomo Technique Award for his mastery in chiropractic techniques and practices.

He is also certified in the upper and lower extremity courses of Athletic Movement Assessment and Functional Movement Taping levels 1 and 2 of RockTape. While completing his Doctorate of Chiropractic, he also completed the Neurofunctional Acupuncture Program through the McMaster University.

Dr. Anderson loves to work with athletes and those looking to move better. He enjoys using the techniques that he has learned to help people get back to what they want to do. He enjoys staying active through baseball, cycling, triathlons, crossfit, golfing, kayaking, hockey, hiking and anything that keeps him moving. He understands that injuries can keep people from the activities they love, and he wants to be there for those who want to get back to being active.

Our Athletic Therapist

Growing up in a military family, Christina has called many places home. Starting her post-secondary studies with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University in Halifax, and then heading West to Mount Royal University in Calgary to complete her Advanced Certificate in Athletic Therapy, she finally settled into Barrie in 2014 for the long run as a Certified Athletic Therapist.

Stints with the Saint Mary’s University Football team, Calgary NorthStars Hockey association and Calgary Canadian Irish Rugby Club, a few years covering Simcoe County high school sports and Barrie Colts AAA, and 3 IBL Championship seasons with the Barrie Baycats, she most recently spent the last 5 years working as an expert compression garment and orthopedic brace fitter.

Christina is excited to be jumping back into manual therapy and treating athletes of all sports and ages, especially all the athletes in the game of life looking to keep their bodies moving!

In her “spare” time, Christina enjoys chasing after her two little rugrats and mid-size furball with her not so little or furry husband.
